I also did a side-by-side comparison (very easy with spotlights), and I couldn't spot any difference besides the LED being liek 1% brighter - and I was pretty particular about it and looking for any subtle differences since I myself was an LED h8r. There's no perceivable color "flatness" or anything - it looks identical to the incandescent equivalent
For what it's worth, the ones I bought were Lepro R50 E14
