I miss the 2000's. Even though there were no English imageboards, even if most Japanese media, save the most mainstream stuff, was inaccessible, even if you had to hunt down all your media physically. Things were simpler, things made sense. I wish I was a young adult at the time so I could have taken full advantage of the economic and social opportunities that existed back then.

Since there was less you could do while looking at a screen, people went out and did things together more. Like just going to the mall or renting a movie impromptu. That used to be an easy thing to do. Now you have to plan to do something with someone, and then two hours after they no-show they'll text you telling you they fell asleep and they're sorry they couldn't make it. sweat3
