I don't know the logistics of it but apparently you could listen to Russian military radio transmissions. Like between actual soldiers on the ground. There's even footage of incidents where enemy soldiers would intercept their communications to shittalk them.

But like most of the above in OP, they probably cracked down on that too. And unless you know Russian, I don't know how interesting it would be to listen to guys talking a language you don't understand.
