oh yeah, and radiant emerald is probably the most fun course to actually race on, I don't know why they went so hard on making these stages that seem almost like they want to be Mario 64 levels instead of proper race tracks
like, I get the idea they had, but the controls and everything are just much better suited for more straightforward racing
a lot of the corners in the other stages are absurd too, like they were designed for characters with much tighter, platform game style controls
