Western nations give wives the ability to call the cops on their husband or file for divorce at any time for any reason, even if the husband does absolutely nothing wrong and the wife is just bored/frustrated/depressed and wishes she married a wealthier man so she can live in a mansion or something. That's insane, it's the equivalent of allowing children to put themselves up for adoption every time they have a typical "I HATE MY LIFE BECAUSE ALL THE KIDS AT SCHOOL MAKE FUN OF ME FOR BEING A NERD AND IT'S YOUR FAULT MOM I HATE YOU!!!" tantrum. Marrying and living happily does exist in countries that don't allow divorce without a good reason. In a good nation if your wife is having a hysterical mood swing tantrum and starts breaking things and you get physical with her to restrain her the same as you would with a child, it's not illegal if she's not seriously injured and not a legitimate reason for divorce.
