i fear talking to people, even less fond of paying quite a lot for simply talking
i fear looking like a moron that loves everything japanese so i wouldnt dare attend any classes
i bought no extra book to learn english when i was still monolingual, need for external paid materials designed for n00bs makes me feel inferior and incapable so i never buy language books

once you have a firm grip of medium (n00b) grammar and some vocabulary you can boost it by simply forcing neural connections as you listen and try making sentences but it is an active rather than passive activity and requires time and not intelligence
