From what I hear nowadays, it's widely regarded to be trash along with its sequel for deviating from the source canon a bit. Though when it first came out, I remember a lot of hype surrounding it. Probably because barely anything had been done with the series at the time, so many were eager to see anything Konami would sign off on that wasn't another pachinko machine. I liked the first two seasons, but it fell off a bit after that. Felt like they didn't know what to do after Dracula died and had to rush together a plot of what happened after. I still kind of enjoy it but I see it more as its own thing completely divorced from the source material S2 onwards. C+ for effort （・∀・）
