Idk, it just causes me a lot of mental anguish. I genuinely believe we were born just in time to see the end of things.

People right now are already using AI chatbots as a substitute of human interaction, and not only extreme neets, but even regular people with a social life that treat it as therapy or an advisor. It is already viable to use an AI model to generate human likeness, so in a year or two that'll be the norm.

Moreover, i've seen examples of different people asking chatgpt what they should answer to another person's text message, so even P2P interactions are not safe.

In 10 or 15 years all forms of entertainment might be replaced with AI generated stuff. Be it movies, books, shows, music or even things like live sports. So that's most hobbies wiped out from the creation side of things.

The most dangerous aspect likely comes from who handles all that power. Robot armies, perfect surveillance, a monopoly on what's percieved as real, a decline on cognitive skils due to over-reliance on AI tools (most of all on the upcoming generations), etc. There's a high chance the ruling class reaps all the benefits while the other 99,9% of humanity is wiped out as non-essential or completely subdued in the now shittiest parts of the world struck the hardest by climate change and lack of natural resources.

I don't want to sound emo, i simply don't see any silver lining in the future. Best case scenario is humanity losing all purpose, worst case scenario is a real-life 1984 worst than we could ever imagine.

I pray i'm wrong on everything i've said.
