A lot of laws, morals, "social attitudes", etc. boil down to the fear of being ostracized or fear of losing reputation/status/wealth. Since there's a natural stigma against people who harm kiddies in most societies, there's a lot of posturing and moralizing against anything that is (or is perceived to be) tangetially related. This is because people don't want to be known to others as harmers of children or supporters of child harm

There are contexts where these fears are able to be (mostly) irrelevant - such as anonymously posting fictional 2D child buttraep on teh interwebs - but very rarely will anyone publicly support or permit these contexts, since doing so could potentially cost them their reputation/status/wealth
