the idea is supposed to be that you're against remote data collection, with the visual parallel being that the microsoft buddy things would take your name, birthday, etc. and would use it to "improve" your experience without sending that information to the company
but of course you're too addicted to youtube to actually stop using it so you just change your pfp instead of actually spending any thought on your privacy
