NEETdom is weird, or at least always has been for me. When you have all the time to do anything you want, you quickly get bored with hobbies more easily and have trouble managing what to do with your time. But when you're employed, you get really good at using your free time wisely and are very excited about hobbies.

At least that's always been my experience.
