(excuse the walltext but u sparked something in me when i read this) unfortunately teh peak for anime in italy is over ( ´,_ゝ`) it definitely was from the 80s to the 2000s. 2010s onwards satellite tv channels like man-ga, hiro or nekotv (who mainly took their dubs from italian dvd/bluray releases) disappeared, and all the new dubs are now instead produced for streaming services like netfaglix and fagchyroll. therefore u can imagine the quality of the dubs and for which anime theyre usually made for. :closed-eyes2: even looking at general mainstream channels like italia1, who used to run anime like sgt frog, magica doremi, nadia, mew mew.... today ull only see em air dragon ball ヽ(`Д´)ノ. though, one thing im dissapointed we missed out on in our golden age was an azumanga dub.. sure, slice of life is a niche, but so is lain, boogiepop phantom, flcl, aria... and those got a dub! just a missed opportunity imo. still, i wont deny streaming service dubs do sometimes pick more interesting anime to dub, like guslinger girl or bocchi (not a big fan of bocchi but its surely interesting seeing a cgdct anime in italian!)
