Yet none who were present gave heed to my words, but each turned instead to idle discourse, so that my heart was filled with dismay. From the whispers which reached my ears I perceived that they occupied themselves with talk of VAGINAl intercourse between two women and with lust for some murderous Slav, and not one among them considered the injustice which had been done to me.

Moreover, while I bore these indignities, there came before me a glutton who said of my tablets: "These are apple pies; let me consume them."
