i've had similar experiences. the will to live is an irrational act, and every form of life whether it is mold, an insect, or an eagle, is attempting to survive and thrive to the best of its ability until death humbles us all. we are like everything else in this regard. one day I defeat the mold in my sandwich, and one day in my grave the mold will consume me. if i was picked clean by a vulture it would not look down upon me, in this way humanity is low and impure in its nature but that is what makes the experience valuable.
