Not at all. Totally unasked for, in my eyes. I won't be playing it because there's genuinely no need. Seems like just another cashgrab, being done for the sake of it, and I'm pretty sure ZUN doesn't need the money.
Only people I've seen excited for it are corporate, brand-slave bootlicker insect japs who - as outlined here >>185799 - dug their own graves by refusing to download any stable version of the game that's been free and regularly patched for 20 years, so their original copies no longer work properly, and blabbermouth ADHD weeaboo dipshit brown kids who only discovered the franchise in the last 2-5 years via facebook/tiktok posts involving "boogoo and surno" fumos and 45 minute WHAT IS TOUHOU??? youtube video-essays.

Hopefully it's just a straight up visual upgrade to the original, and the developers are actually Japanese (I haven't looked) so they won't try to "improve" the base game with gay, unnecessary shit like westerniggers love to do with their remakes.
