Aza had too much of a final boss backstory to be apart of the whole og holyfield idea. here's the idea fully.

In the past Aza used to be an angel however committed a henious sin which caused Aza to be reduced to a formless monstrosity. Eventually Aza crafted a doll to inhabit so it can interact with the physical world. Aza's goal is simple to bring as many beings to hell with it as possible. In other words it's supposed to be a fusion between the fallen angel azazel and the eldritch abomination azathoth confined into the body of a doll.
