Greetings, students...
You see, your old man here used to be an avid music listener. With the rise of earbuds and all that these days, more people can claim to be one, but back in my day, that really meant something. Listening to music wasn't just pressing a button on a phone, it required a little bit of effort.
Even in spite of that, I loved listening to music. Especially the HARD ROCK.
( ̄ー ̄)
Many people had hobbies after work, and sometimes they involved music, usually as a background noise. But for me, music was the main attraction
After work, I sat down, turned on one of my favorite tracks, and listened to it again and again, energy would course through my veins. I'd stand up, close my eyes, and pretend to hold the instrument. I would sneak up the volume bit by bit, trying to feel the vibrations.
I actually even paid way more than I needed to as a student, in order to have a detached home, that way I could listen to music loudly at all hours.
(^Д^)
Listening to the screech and scrang of an electric guitar just gave me a body high like nothing else. I experimented with smoking, but even the nicotine buzz didn't compare.
But over the years, the feelings faded. When I was a student and could only listen a few times a day, every track felt better than an ejaculation. But as I got older and had more time, it lost its specialty.
I realized at one point, I was listening to too much music. So I did something that was harder for me that quitting alcohol - I became determined to stop listening to music.
For months I sat in silence at home, waiting until I felt I had earned my right to listen to music again.
After about 9 months, I broke, and though I had been aiming for a year, I listened to one of my tracks. Prior to that moment, for those 9 months the only music I had heard was quiet pop-radio songs at the supermarket.
When I heart the crackle coming out...
( ´ω`)
I almost fainted
The most electrifying feeling went through my full body. I got chills, I felt lighter than air... I even got an erection
At that moment, I really felt like I was in heaven. Nothing else in my life compared to that moment. Not even my first kiss (yes I had one)
I now have taken the middle way. Not listening to too much or too little, but I still look back on that moment and reminisce about those feelings
