poster here. is there really a line in gospels about jesus being "merciful"? ive read lines of gospels and that doesnt seem to be his main schtick at all. even in gita, krishna showed his incomprehensible true vishva form and arjuna begged him to stop, and krishna's literally death of everything and arjuna just does what he's gonna do anyway (killing his kins because circumstances needs him), tbh GOD does seem merciful, but i dont simply feels like his kind of mercy is too simplistic for very surface believers; like how when -normal- theists (of any creed) believe GOD is le best merciful yet intentionally ignore or unintentionally doesnt know about horrific seemingly meaningless sufferings in the world because they just want their beliefs to remain hard (usually because at the core they fear hellfire and thats it, there are other reasons sure, but for most thats it.)
