all the posts and threads in the website were hidden at first by default. the incentive for the user to even use the site is to find them out.
the more effort and time he spends at the site the more hidden places, conversations, rabbitholes and OLD LORES (by really old users of the site) he finds.
he meets much oldfag users too as time goes.
people likes games and uncovering a whole new world, and the website is that world.
it basically mimics an mmorpg with all its in-jokes and in-lores, but without much of the gaming part, but the user still has to "grind" (basically spends time in the site).

dont need the masses at all. but there are niche people who i believe would be into this sort of thing.
