imagine grinding popcorn into a powder, then mixing in some flour or drywall or something to make it even cheaper, then spraying a little corn syrup and oil on that powder so it'll clump together, then putting it in a machine that heats it and makes lots of tiny air bubbles in it so it's ~90% air, then shits it out into little clumps and sprays artificial cheese flavoring and food coloring on it
