I've listened to certain songs so much they stop sounding as good, and while you're more likely to hear a song more often if it is popular, the deciding factor isn't really popularity. It will happen to unpopular songs if I just keep playing them back too.
I don't think I've ever stopped liking a song as a direct consequence of it being popular.
