I wonder how much internet people are willing to put up with just so they can visit the sites they visit. A good case study is youtube and how despite the countless garbage "features" added, people keep going to it. Granted there are some alternatives to video hosting sites.

Like you said, too early to tell. I don't fully believe the first part is guaranteed, if only because being able to rage at someone feels amazing, doubly so if it makes you look better than them.
