as long as you frequently ask "what do they have to gain by showing/telling me this" you can watch news from anywhere with a critical mind and gain the bits of truth through the propaganda.
If something seems too strange to be real look it up, dont look at other people providing "context" try to find primary sources.
For example, if a news article says "so and so said some terrible thing" instead of taking it at face value, find the footage of that person saying the thing in full and make a conclusion from there.
