I use a software on Linux called "Lutris" & Installed teh .exe as a windows executable. WinXP, 32bit, Local: Japanese.

Select the .exe and run.
Select installations location etc. Install, run and close. Open LUTRIS settings on installed game and change teh "executable file" to teh same you install with. Save. It's rather easy. I also had to maek a folder "sav" in games route map to be able save data.

Lastily, i just right click in Lutris and add to Steam. But this isnt necessary if you boot from Desk. There some guides on youtube about Lutris and VNs. I use Lutris for all my Windows gammes. Works everytime.
