If you want the full depression experience and want to see one of the bigger influences the show took from, go watch Ideon after it (and, in the same vein as Eva, watch the movie instead of the last episode, or at least immediately after seeing the last episode).
Ideon is a fucking trip man, even if the troubled production means some of it is very rough, and I think Cosmo is kind of a little shit.
