I've almost reached the end of the anime, at episode 25, after watching it for the first time and I think it's really good. It's pretty emotional and Shinji's experiences, especially when carrying such a heavy burden like saving humanity, hits me right in the feels. I fucking hate Asuka's attitude although I can feel bad for her because of her childhood, I guess.
