I love looking at them since I have never been able to stay in one place long enough to make my own to the full degree I'd want to. Post ones that actually look like someone lives in them, not the glossy photoshoot ones that you see everywhere now.

Also I forgot to remove (pre-2010 preferred) from the thread title. Retro is nice but authenticity is most important. Post them from any period as long as they don't look like something from an interior decorating magazine.

Is that a wide screen CRT?
I used to think of images like these as cozy, but now that I am older they just sort of reek of mental illness. Man children who don't want to grow up who hoard material possessions who are afraid of natural light.

>afraid of natural light
Natural light is bad for your skin. I'm enjoying living like a child for my entire life and it sounds like you're enjoying being a "grown up" and paying for my entire family's welfare so there's no problem, everyone wins.

All those normalfags are crammed in a small space with people they don't like while wearing suits, something hikkis never have to do.

I enjoy being unemployed, but I feel that having to encounter other people's ideas is almost as bad as having to interact with them physically. Outside ideas are ghastly and fetid. The more you grapple with them the more they enslime you until you are the most wretched creature in existence.

But I've found ways of mitigating this. Just as an example, I've used uBlock Origin to hide all the images and banners on this site. I find it galling to encounter foreign imagery (that which is created by others). Photos are slightly okay since they are a snapshot of the natural world, but I find art of any kinds unbearable-- it's too much another person's interpretation of things--viewing such images will leave me unclean with mind grime. Those wrinkles in your brain are awfully good at catching dust.

Essentially what I'm trying to do is cultivate a pure sensibility. This requires getting rid of all heterodox thinking. True art is more about what you cut out than what you let in, and the same goes for the artist.

I have refined my consumption of others sensibilities to a needle point, and I allow no puerile mixing in any field. Heyuri is the only website I browse. Water is the only fluid I drink. I eat only apples and urinate only clear fluid. When the time is right I will leave water behind and drink only my own
unadulterated urine.

I gave up on reading books recently and have long abandoned music. In fact I plugged my ears with wax and have not unclogged them since. The ears are the Devil's Pathway by which heterodox ideas may reach you, and I have no use for them.

Abandoning my hearing produced the most interesting results. Namely there started a ringing in my ears which has never stopped. At some point the ringing began to progress into something like music. This was the music of my soul. It greatly excited me.

In September a middle E appeared in my left ear. And
in December a C-sharp below E formed. In my right ear, a slightly sharp E began in October. They’re forming fairly interesting chords that never leave. When it’s quiet at night, the notes are screaming.

I like to encounter all different kinds of ideas which is why I've always preferred anonymous online communication. When talking to people IRL you'll rarely find anything more than the most socially acceptable ideas unless you only talk to homeless people on drugs or other types that have nothing to lose. Homeless people usually aren't very intelligent though so anonymous online message boards are better.

a couple of things anon:
1. TOO much light is bad for your skin. The product the old woman (might've) used in that photo is most likely only blocking some of the light she recieved being outside all the time. Not enough naturally produced vitamin D makes you objectively worse off.

2. What's the point in looking good for no one? If you don't go outside and wont brighten anyone else's day by looking good then there's no point in protecting anything.
>>
>>98744
If you have a wife in your hikki nest with you then you should just make love to her and watch anime with her all day and never go outside. What's the difference between vitamin D supplements and "naturally produced vitamin D"?
>>
>>98433
You put "naturally produced" in quotes as if it isn't a fact that your skin synthesizes it from the sun. To put it simply, your body synthesizing its own vitamin D from your skin works its way around the body and is taken up by your cells more efficiently than it is being dumped into your colon. You can look into the details of that yourself, but it's the reason why spending twenty minutes in the sun a day gives people energy while taking D2 doesn't.

And looking pale and sickly for a long time is much worse than possibly having a couple sun spots when you get old (which will be amongst your liver spots anyways).
>>
>>98749
I have no work to do (and I don't want any) so I don't need energy and I don't think pale skin looks sickly at all. Tanned skin is a fetish. Taking multivitamin supplements only sacrifices about 20 seconds of my day instead of 20 minutes just for one vitamin so it's far more efficient.
>>
>>98759
You're just being obstinate
>>
>>98781
20 minutes per day is over 120 hours per year or 1200 hours per decade. Think of all the enjoyable things you could do with all that time.

only pathetic manchildren are solely concerned with how much "fun" stuff he can do. There are things you should do as well. Besides, purely doing "fun" things makes them not fun. You'd understand that if you weren't in your teens.
>>
>>98785
This is the kind of logic my teachers used but with studying. Didn't make any sense there and it doesn't make any sense here.
>>
>>98827
I'm in my 30's and have ever enjoyed doing any kind of work or chores. I'm sure fun things are far more fun after you've been doing things you don't enjoy all day, just like food tastes better if you only eat one meal per day and cumming feels better after not doing it for a day or two. But is it worth it to be miserable for most of your day just so the fun things can feel better? I prefer to have a mild amount of fun all day and never be as miserable as I feel when working. Not everyone is this extremely lazy, some people may even enjoy working and doing chores but I hate it.

If you believe there's an afterlife I understand why you don't value the time you have in this life much but not everyone is convinced there's an afterlife.

so you'll enjoy your life to fullest by wasting away in front of the internet and anime?

Yes, what better options are there for people with no money who don't enjoy going outside, socializing IRL or working?
