maybe you're just not interesting enough to find them interesting!!

why are people so shy about starting threads? you can start as many as you want. don't just refresh the page over and over again until a new one comes up.

There's very loose standards unsure
>>
>>102195
All the rules on Heyuri boil down to "don't be a retarded killjoy". If you think these are "strict standards", then I have bad news for you dark

If you think this site is too strict you've probably overdosed on r8 content, to the point that r8ing is an instinctual thing for you. I wandered onto this place without knowing a thing about it's reputation, and made my first few posts without reading the rules. I never got bashed or banned because I've never been into nu-school imageboard and social media humour. I think knowing about all that stuff, and knowing that Heyuri refuses that stuff, makes you more overly self-conscious than if you didn't have that stuff in your head... This is actually the first board I've used with any regularity, and I guess that makes me kind of a blank slate. I've literally posted images from Reddit and Pinterest, sites which are often bashed here, but no-one complained (or even clocked them), because I didn't couch them in the usual imageboard claptrap. I just thought, 'Let's post something funny/interesting' and I did.

Of course, that doesn't mean I've never posted a fail thread. I've posted quite a few...sweat2

"you could just be like me and shit the place up with terrible threads lol"
>>
>>102203
Like I said, overly self-conscious. All I'm preaching here is that you should have fun and post the kinds of threads you would like to see yourself, instead of thinking hard about how things 'should' be and not doing anything cause you're worried it won't be just right.

How do you know my threads are all terrible anyway? I've probably posted some of your favorites.cool

>How do you know all my threads are terrible anyway?
i can tell from how you just randomly started telling me about your life story for no reason
u seem really boring and dumb so i doubt ur capable of being funny

When I'm out of thread ideas, I browse old archives (heyuri/4chan/futaba) for some inspiration. There is no way Heyuri has high standarts for new threads, they should be just be fun happy
>fear that nobody will reply
I made countless threads that I thought was funny but not a single person replied to/only got lame replies, it's not the end of the world sweat2
>>
>>102206
still seems kind of sad and then i start to doubt should i post here
>>
>then i start to doubt should i post here
1- people in old internet didn't worry about such things and just posted whatever they wanted to, so we should aim to do the same
2- you probably don't have any better to post fun threads on the internets without worrying about getting R8-breaking replies anyways
>>
>>102210
>1- people in old internet didn't worry about such things and just posted whatever they wanted to, so we should aim to do the same
maybe because old internet was completely different place compared to modern days
>>
And that's what makes heyuri special! You don't need to lurk half a year to understand we don't conform to norms or whatsoever of those "modern days" here
>>
Whenever the threads on front aren't very interesting or already played out things get stale for a while, but eventually someone makes a good new thread with activity and it's like the whole site, not just that particular thread, gets a sudden bolt of energy
>>
I think people overreacted against twitter-style posting, and now things are too slow.
>>
The one tiem i tried to make a thread here it got deleted and idk why so i never tried again
>>
>>102229
wot u on about m8?
>>
>>102229
It's not true at all, but even if it was, I'd still prefer for things to be slow than for the board to be flooded with r8-leaning threads and posts
